Bangladesh to work with Turkey on public-private partnership model to develop country’s tourism sector

Bangladesh will work with Turkey on a public-private partnership model to develop the country’s tourism sector. Representatives of Celebi Aviation, Turkey paid a courtesy call on Minister Afroza Khanam, MP, and State Minister M Rashiduzzaman Millat, MP, at the conference room of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism this afternoon.

Turkish Ambassador to Bangladesh H.E. Mr Ramis Şen and Secretary of the Ministry Fahmida Akhtar, ndc were present at the event.
At the meeting, representatives of Celebi Aviation expressed their interest in joining the Ground Handling activities to improve the quality of services at Bangladesh’s airports. At the time, the Minister and the State Minister assured that Celebi Aviation would be given priority in appointing the Ground Handling Company.

Minister Afroza Khanam stressed the importance of internationalizing Cox’s Bazar Airport for the development of the country’s tourism sector and drew the attention of Celebi Aviation to its ground handling. At the same time, State Minister M Rashiduzzaman Millat invited the company to submit a concept paper to improve the quality of passenger services.
In addition, hopes were expressed to work together with Turkey on a public-private partnership model to develop the country’s tourism sector.
