Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister and State Minister Hold Courtesy Meeting with the Ambassador of Switzerland to Bangladesh

The Ambassador of Switzerland to Bangladesh, Mr. Reto Renggli, paid a courtesy call on the Honorable Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism, Ms. Afroza Khanam, MP, and the Honorable State Minister, Mr. M. Rashiduzzaman Millat, MP, at the Ministry’s conference room this morning.
During the meeting, both sides underscored the importance of further strengthening and expanding the longstanding bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Switzerland in a dynamic and multidimensional manner. Discussions focused on enhancing cooperation in the civil aviation sector and exploring new opportunities for collaboration.
The Swiss Ambassador expressed Switzerland’s keen interest in working closely with Bangladesh in the aviation industry and highlighted the potential for greater engagement between stakeholders from both countries.
Mr. Renggli also conveyed the interest of Swissport, a leading Swiss aviation services company, in participating in ground handling operations at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport. In response, the Honorable Minister and State Minister welcomed the interest and invited the submission of a formal proposal, assuring that it would receive due consideration.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to deepening cooperation and fostering stronger partnerships in areas of mutual interest, particularly in civil aviation and related services.
