Various programs have been taken across the country to celebrate World Tourism Day-2026. To this end, a meeting was held at the Bangladesh Secretariat on Thursday (July 23) at 11 am to prepare for the celebration of the day and formulate a detailed program.
Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Afroza Khanam, MP and State Minister M Rashiduzzaman Millat, MP were present at the meeting. The theme of this year’s World Tourism Day has been set as “Future Tourism through Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence”.
Tourism Minister Afroza Khanam said at the meeting that this time, World Tourism Day will be celebrated with great enthusiasm and enthusiasm through various programs across the country. A domestic cultural-based exhibition will be organized to showcase the country’s tourism potential in the international arena. She also directed to take necessary measures to celebrate the day at the district level at the same time.
He further said that through this event, the government wants to showcase Bangladesh’s domestic tourism more effectively in the world. He also sought the cooperation of private stakeholders in the tourism sector to achieve this goal.
State Minister M Rashiduzzaman Millat said that on the occasion of World Tourism Day, television advertisements (TVCs) prepared by the Bangladesh Tourism Board will be aired in important and populated places of the country. In addition, live cooking shows and cooking competitions will be organized in honor of guests of foreign embassies, so that the rich and diverse cuisine of Bangladesh can be showcased in the international arena.
Secretary of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, Ms. Fahmida Akhtar, ndc, and senior officials of the ministry and subordinate organizations were present at the meeting.
