This morning, the UAE Ambassador to Bangladesh, H.E. Abdulla Ali Abdulla Alhmoudi, paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Civil Aviation and Tourism, Afroza Khanam, MP, and the Minister of State for Civil Aviation and Tourism, M Rashiduzzaman Millat, MP, at the Minister’s office. The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral relations between Bangladesh and the UAE. In addition, detailed discussions were held on the development of the country’s aviation and tourism sectors.
The Ambassador mentioned dnata’s interest in the ground handling activities of the third terminal of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport. The State Minister highlighted the progress of the preparatory activities for the launch of the third terminal and said that the government will take necessary decisions in this regard and inform about the next steps after the ORAT activities of the terminal are fully started. The Minister also said that the government is always ready to take all necessary steps to improve the quality of services at the airport. At this time, the Ambassador expressed his strong commitment to work with the current government of Bangladesh.
